Jimmy Grits, Private Eye

I am excited to announce my first novel, Jimmy Grits, Private Eye, is scheduled for release late this fall from Saltwater Media Publishing.

Jimmy is a man who feels he needs no introduction, but he is going to give us one, anyway.

“I did more than my part sweeping miscreants from Ocean Mist’s streets, and I still found time to deal pleasantries to sun-seeking tourists buying t-shirts, taffy, and ice cream.  Even tipped my fedora now and then.  I never complained.  Our good people needed someone to protect them from the town’s slimy underbelly.  Besides, the work kept me fed.

Ocean Mist, the kind of town you passed between blinks while cruising the highway half asleep at two a.m., claimed some coastal Delaware real estate just south of Lewes and a bit north of Rehoboth.  We had a town hall, boardwalk, drawbridge over the Rehoboth-Lewes Canal, run-down lighthouse, and even a library for those who were into that sort of thing.  I knew Ocean Mist, and it knew me; at least, I thought I did until the day the tinker walked through my door and told me the waves had stopped.”

Look for an upcoming post describing Philadelphia-based artist Aubrey Brown’s development of the cover art for Jimmy Grits, Private Eye.
